Due to Babcock Hall's graduate-student priority, it has a unique housing application and selection process and does not follow the same process as the other on-campus residence halls and apartments. This page has information that is specific to Babcock Hall only.

Current Babcock Hall Residents
Students who currently live in Babcock Hall have two options, which dictate the process that you will follow:
- Return to Babcock Hall
- Apply for a different residence hall or the on-campus apartments
Return to Babcock Hall
Current Babcock residents who would like to return to Babcock Hall for 2025-2026 must follow these steps and deadlines.
Complete a 2025-2026 housing application in the Housing Portal between October 15, 2024 and October 28, 2024.
Decide if you want to stay in your current room or choose from a different room in Babcock Hall.
Self-select your room in Babcock Hall on one of the following dates:
Renew to your current room:
Thursday, October 31, 2024
Choose a different room in Babcock:
Monday, November 4, 2024
Apply for a Different Residence Hall or On-Campus Apartment
Current Babcock residents who would like to apply for a different residence hall or on-campus apartment for 2025-2026 must follow these steps and deadlines.
IMPORTANT: If you choose to apply for a different residence hall or on-campus apartment, you will participate alongside all other students who do not have a housing requirement. This means that you may not receive your most preferred room type or location. Additionally, although our goal is to house as many students as possible each year, you are not guaranteed on-campus housing.
Contact UNH Housing (housing@landaiztc.com) to let us know that you would like to apply for a different residence hall or on-campus apartment.
Follow instructions and deadlines as listed for the Returner Housing Selection (non-Babcock).
Students who miss the application deadline can submit after the deadline, but will placed on the waitlist and will not be able to participate in the self-selection process.
Students Wanting to Move to Babcock Hall
Self-selection for Babcock Hall is only available to current Babcock Hall residents. If you are interested in living in Babcock Hall for next year, please contact UNH Housing (housing@landaiztc.com) to let us know. Students who are interested in moving to Babcock Hall next year should still participate in the non-Babcock Hall selection process and secure on-campus housing. Because of the graduate student priority for Babcock Hall, we must wait to fill vacancies in Babcock Hall to ensure that space is available to graduate students coming to UNH next year. As spaces are available, we will reach out to interested students.
